About Marie Weaverling
Marie Weaverling is the owner and principle designer at Marie Weaverling Design. She has over 20 years of experience designing homes here in Chester County, PA, the Philadelphia area and the Jersey Shore. Her passion is for designing and fabricating custom window treatments, but she offers a full range of design services, including space planning, custom cabinet design and installation, furniture selection, custom lighting, paint, and accessorizing.
When not working in her West Chester home, she loves to take adventurous, active vacations with her husband and adult daughters. She leads a creative life with membership at the Chester County Art Association where she takes watercolor and Plein Air Oil painting classes and knits fun projects in her free time.
The Why Behind My Interior Design Services
I have a mom and had two very artistic grandmothers who had me painting, crafting and sewing at an early age. I was sewing clothing projects for myself before the age of 10. I have photos of me doing ‘plein air’ painting when I was about 10. My mom and grandmother always sewed their own window treatments and appreciated good design and beautiful fabrics. I learned from them and have taught my twin girls these wonderful skills. Our travels to beautiful places have inspired me to reconnect with painting.
What I love most about working with customers though, is helping them solve their design dilemas in a beautiful, functional way. I am so inspired when the customer is so pleased at the end of a project. I love to get to know my customers and learn about their life and families. Many of my customers have been with me since the very beginning and have become great friends.
